State of Emergence

State of Emergence is an iterative research-action project led by Art of Festivals aiming to unlock the art sector’s capabilities for learning and sharing. The first phase (June 2020 to December 2021) was co-led by Creative Producers Fanny Martin & Bridget MacIntosh with support from Canada Council for the Arts’ Digital Strategy Fund and Mass Culture. 

After much exploration, we’re now sharing the State of Emergence website: a series of icons, concepts and questions to support critical reflection and collective discussion.

Art of Festivals will be hosting free participatory sessions on different uses of the emergence pattern in early to mid-2022. Interested? Email fanny@artoffestivals.com to get on the invite list.
