Solution Pathways Facilitator

Are you an experienced facilitator who enjoys leading important discussions and applying creative approaches to inspire groups towards collective action? Is it important to you to find ways to support a thriving arts community? Are you someone led by curiosity and possess  strong interpersonal and relationship building skills? If so, we invite you to submit an application  to be considered for one of the ASOs Positioning a Future Forward Solution Pathway Facilitator positions. 

The Solution Pathways will play a large role in the upcoming Arts Service Organizations: Positioning a Future Forward conference, happening January 2023. 

Mass Culture is seeking 5 individuals to lead the development of Solution Pathways covering these 5 topics (1 facilitator per pathway):

• How might we develop a shared plan for inclusion?

• How might we demonstrate the arts’ value through evidence to reveal the human side?

• How might we continue to build the infrastructure and knowledge bases needed to meaningfully work with different communities?

• How might we assist in the permanence and present nature of the arts?

• How might we support artists from getting lost in the digital world?

Approximately 15 hours (session, meetings, and prep)

Job Description

Working with the ASOs: Positioning a Future Forward organizing team, each Solution Pathway Facilitator will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing the process whereby interested parties (to be determined by Mass Culture beforehand) will delve into 1 of the 5 focal topics and excavate a solution pathway

• Leading 4 – 5 gatherings bringing together interested parties around 1 of the Solution Pathway topics

• Communications regarding the scheduling of convenings

• Attending an orientation session before the launch of the Solution Pathway

What We're Looking For

• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

• Previous experience leading/facilitating discussions

• Previous experience working with and amongst ASOs

• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

• Detailed oriented and highly organized

• Experience utilizing creative facilitation training/ experience (For example, Liberating Structures)
