Take Your Organization’s Data Practices to the Next Level
Mass Culture is offering fully funded one-on-one data coaching for arts organizations. This is an opportunity to work with a Mass Culture verified data coach to develop customized strategies for data collection, analysis, and impact measurement. Please complete the Expression of Interest (EOI) form to be considered.

- Step 2: Submit Your Expression of Interest (EOI)

- Gaëlle: March 6 – April 20
Submit in any format – text, audio, or video.

EOIs will be reviewed by a panel of reviewers from Mass Culture’s governance body and the data coach.
- Step 3: Join a Q&A Drop-In (Optional)
Have questions? Robin will host drop-in Zoom sessions where you can ask about the coaching opportunity.
- Step 4: Selection & Next Steps
We will review EOIs on a rolling basis. If your organization is a good match, we’ll set up a quick Zoom chat before confirming participation.
- One-on-One Coaching
- Work directly with a Mass Culture verified data coach to refine your organization’s data practices.
- Funded by Mass Culture
- We cover the cost of the data coach, you invest your time.
- Flexible Time Commitment
- Minimum 50 hours over 6 to 8 months, with a flexible schedule that fits your workflow—blending structured sessions, independent work, and check-ins to keep it manageable and impactful.
- Practical & Actionable
- Develop real strategies that integrate into your workflow.
- Sector Learning & Sharing
- Your organization will receive compensation for sharing insights gained through the process with the arts sector.

Erica Mattson
Erica runs an independent creative consultancy, serving as a strategic advisor and coach to leaders in the social impact and cultural sectors locally and nationally, as well as co-producing innovative research, systems change and sector development projects in collaboration with a network of artistic, academic and institutional partners.
She’s also an associate with Scale Collaborative, a social impact consultancy based in Victoria, BC, and a research associate with Simon Fraser University’s School of Computing Science, partnering with researchers on arts-based approaches to co-design, data visualization and community data empowerment projects. She’s a member of the Board of Governors at the Victoria Conservatory of Music and is also a collaborator with Creative Coast, a collaboration lab of Vancouver Island collective of artists, arts organizations and creative entrepreneurs.
Erica is known for her creative, practical approaches to problem solving and change making. She brings a toolkit of expertise that includes strategic communications, systems change practice, organizational transformation and change management, and strategic planning, as well as 20 years of experience helping governments, cultural institutions, non-profits, and funding agencies create transformative change for the people and communities they serve.

Gaëlle Ramboanasolo
Gaëlle Ramboanasolo is a data strategist and consultant with deep expertise in helping arts and cultural organizations harness data and AI to drive impact. Holding a master’s degree in business intelligence, Gaëlle began her career as a data analyst for institutions like Société de la Place des Arts in Montréal and Bandsintown, developing tools and strategies rooted in data science for the arts sector.
She later co-founded Gradiant AI, a company dedicated to empowering creators, producers, and cultural organizations to seize opportunities offered by AI and advanced analytics. Through Gradiant, she has collaborated with major cultural institutions, including Opéra de Montréal, Festival International de Lanaudière, and Productions Nuits d'Afrique.
Gaëlle was a finalist for “Entrepreneur(e) issu(e) de la diversité de l'année” at the Grands Prix de la jeunesse en affaires du RJCCQ (2021) and served as a lecturer on AI and Communications at Collège la Cité d’Ottawa from 2021 to 2024.

- TIME COMMITMENT
50 hours over 6-8 months (flexible schedule)
- ROLLING DEADLINE
Apply between February 14 and March 31 to work with Erica.
Apply between March 6 and April 20 to work with Gaëlle.
- METHOD OF APPLICATION
There are multiple options to respond to the Expression of Interest form: Text, audio, or video
