Meet the Speaker

Margo Charlton
Margo was the founding artistic director of Popular Theatre Alliance of Manitoba and a member of the steering committee of the Canadian Popular Theatre Alliance. In 2002, Margo became the Toronto Arts Council’s Theatre Officer and in 2016 was appointed Research and Impact Manager for Toronto Arts Council and Toronto Arts Foundation. Some of her projects include: lead researcher for Transforming Communities Through the Arts, a SSHRC-funded study of three Toronto neighbourhoods; and managing Arts Stats, an annual Toronto public opinion poll about the arts.
